In the third quarter of 2024, geolocation games on Android witnessed diverse performance trends across Africa, as recorded by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how the top five games fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. showed a dynamic quarter with revenue reaching a peak of approximately $10.8K in mid-July, followed by fluctuations ending at $5.5K by September. Downloads saw a notable spike to 7.5K in early September, while active users peaked at 119.3K in the same period before dipping to 90.9K by the end of the quarter.

Atlas Earth - Buy Virtual Land from Atlas Reality, Inc. exhibited a strong upward trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads surged to over 16K in early September, while active users rose steadily, reaching over 20.2K by the end of the quarter. Revenue also experienced a rise, peaking at $4.2K in late September.

Monster Hunter Now had a relatively stable quarter in terms of active users, maintaining around 10.9K, with a slight dip to 9.3K by September's close. Revenue was consistent, hovering around $300 per week throughout the quarter. However, downloads were minimal and sporadic.
